Slate Stack ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that lets you save tabs to a read-later queue. This policy explains what data the extension touches and how.
We (the developer) do not collect, store, or have access to any of your personal data or browsing history. Slate Stack does not use analytics and does not track you across sites.
The tabs you save (title, URL, and the time you saved them) and your settings (sort order, remove-on-open) are stored using Chrome's built-in storage API, on your own device only. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party.
If you purchase Slate Stack Premium, payment is handled entirely by ExtensionPay and Stripe, not by us. We never see, receive, or store your card number or other payment details. ExtensionPay stores your email address (used for login/purchase-restore on other devices) and payment status (paid or not) on their servers. See ExtensionPay's privacy policy and Stripe's privacy policy for details on how they handle that data.
activeTab — lets the extension read the title/URL of the current tab only when you click the toolbar icon, use a keyboard shortcut, or use the right-click menu on that tab. It cannot read tabs you haven't directly interacted with.storage — needed to save your queued tabs and settings locally.contextMenus — adds the "Send this page" / "Send link" right-click menu items.Slate Stack never requests permission to read your full browsing history or any tab you haven't explicitly sent to it.
Slate Stack is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
